Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Kevin Gossage is the nephew of Hall of Fame pitcher Goose Gossage. He played in the Texas Rangers system in 2006 and 2007, after being taken by the club in the 33nd round of the 2005 amateur draft, ahead of catchers Tyler Flowers and John Hester. He was signed by scout Rick Schroeder. With the AZL Rangers in 2006, he slashed .222/.341/.306 with 16 hits and 24 strikeouts in 29 games. Between the AZL Rangers, Spokane Indians and Clinton LumberKings in 2007, Gossage slashed .159/.226/.241 in 46 games. He batted .180/.266/.263 in 75 games overall.

His cousin, Todd Gossage, also played pro ball.
