Biographical Information[edit]
Kenzo Hirose and Ikushi Yamanouchi were the co-author of Japan's Official Baseball Rule Book in 1940. In 1936, he was named the official scorer for the Japanese Professional Baseball League. Hirose was a noted authority on the history of baseball and owned an extensive library on the sport. His page at the Hall of Fame website refers to him as a "walking dictionary of baseball".
Hirose was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973.
