Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Kentrell Hill spent three years in the San Francisco Giants chain after being drafted in the 10th round of the 2011 Amateur Draft and signing with a $100,000 bonus. He slashed .256/.316/.361 for the 2011 AZL Giants while accumulating a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 31 games in all three outfield positions. Moving up to the Low-A Northwest League and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes for 2012, his offensive numbers improved to .283/.404/.323, but he committed 4 errors (all in left field). However, he also had 2 outfield assists (both in left field) and his range numbers improved. He was back with the Volcanoes for 2013, but only slashed .200/.280/.267 prior to being released on July 23.

His brother, pitcher Jaden Hill, was the 44th overall selection in the 2021 Amateur Draft.
