Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Kenneth Caldwell played in the Washington Senators/Texas Rangers minor league system from 1971 to 1973. He was drafted by the Senators in the 4th round of the 1967 amateur draft, a few picks ahead of catcher Fred Kendall. He had a breakout year in 1972, slashing .337/.405/.541 with 19 home runs and 107 RBI in 123 games for the Greenville Rangers. He made the All-Star team. His batting average fell to .256 in 1973 and his career was over after that. Overall, he batted .287/.352/.453 with 37 home runs and 202 RBI in 300 games.
