Biographical Information[edit]
Kenjiro Mori became a Central League umpire in 1991. Through 2012, he has worked three Nippon Pro Baseball All-Star Games and the 2001 Japan Series, 2002 Japan Series, 2005 Japan Series and 2009 Japan Series. Mori worked the 2013 World Baseball Classic. In the 2013 Japan Series, he made a bad call that played in a key role in a Rakuten Golden Eagles 2-1 Game 2 win. With the score 1-0 in the 7th and two on, he ruled Kazuya Fujita safe at first on a run-scoring infield hit, though replays showed he was clearly out. Mori stood by his call when questioned after the game.
