Biographical Information[edit]
Kenji Nakade has played in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.
Nakade represented Japan in the 1977 Intercontinental Cup. The Nankai Hawks drafted him in the first round of the 1977 NPB draft. He hit .263/.300/.263 in 23 games, then slumped to .161/.188/.290 in 1979. He only had 8 more at-bats in the next four seasons, and the Hawks traded him to the Hankyu Braves for Toshiyuki Yoshizawa in 1985. Nakade still only got 10 at-bats in two seasons with the Braves, then announced his retirement after the 1987 season.
Overall, Nakade had hit .194/.239/.254 in 7 seasons in NPB.
