Biographical Information[edit]
Ken Madeja was a long-time scout.
Madeja was a Detroit Tigers scout for 10 years, signing John Smoltz, Chris Hoiles and Scott Aldred. He became a Seattle Mariners scout in 1988 and signed J.J. Putz, Derek Lowe, Matt Mantei, Matt Thornton, Clint Nageotte, Ryan Feierabend, Justin Thomas and Shawn Nottingham. He was then promoted to special assistant to the Mariners' General Manager.
