Biographical Information[edit]

Ken Lohnes was drafted four times as a catcher. The Milwaukee Braves took him in the 16th round of the 1965 amateur draft out of high school. In junior college, the St. Louis Cardinals took him in the 2nd round of the 1966 January draft, the Pittsburgh Pirates chose him in the 2nd round of the 1966 June secondary draft and the Detroit Tigers selected him in the 4th round of the January 1967 draft. In 1968, he was the All-American third baseman while at Cal State Los Angeles. He was not drafted again and did not play professionally.
