Biographical Information[edit]

Ken Edenfield pitched a total of 9 games for the California Angels during the 1995 and 1996 seasons, with no decisions and an ERA of 5.82. All of his appearances came as a reliever.

He was drafted by the Angels in the 21st round of the 1990 amateur draft out of Western Kentucky University and played in the minor leagues from 1990 to 1997. he was also a full-time reliever in the minors, with only 3 starts in 317 games. He went 8-5, 2.59 with 15 saves for the Quad Cities Angels in the Midwest League in 1991 and 9-4, 3.39 with 4 saves in 51 outings for the Vancouver Canadians of the AAA Pacific Coast League in 1994. That was however the year of the strike, so he had to wait until the next year to make his big league debut.

Following his second stint with the Angels in 1996, he was sent to the New York Yankees in a condition deal. He finished that season by going 4-1, 3.34 with 3 saves in 33 games for the Columbus Clippers, but he wasn't called up by the Yankees, who were on their way to winning the World Series and were packed with talent. He returned to Columbus in 1997 but this went sideways as he put up an ERA of 6.92 in 9 games - and that only because 9 of the 19 runs he allowed in 13 innings were unearned. He was released, ending his professional career.
