Biographical Information[edit]

Kelvin Garay has pitched in the minor leagues and for the Puerto Rico national baseball team

Garay was drafted by the New York Mets in the 11th round of the 2002 Amateur Draft, and he had a 6.48 ERA in 6 appearances for the Kingsport Mets in his first year. He improved to a 3.60 ERA in 5 games in 2003, but he struggled again in 2004 as his ERA was 7.11 in 10 games for the GCL Mets. Garay was released after that season. He also represented Puerto Rico in the 2005 Baseball World Cup, allowing two hits, two walks and two runs in one inning over two outings. He then allowed 12 runs in 7 innings for the Atlantic League Road Warriors in 2006, and his professional career ended.
