Biographical Information[edit]
While playing for Western Carolina University, first baseman/outfielder Keith LeClair set a school single-season record for hits. In 1988, he played for the Idaho Falls Braves as an outfielder. LeClair hit .264/~.341/.341. He then returned to his alma mater as head coach from 1992 to 1997. He became head coach at East Carolina University in 1998. In 2002, he stepped down as coach, suffering from Lou Gehrig's Disease. In eleven seasons as a college coach, he posted a 441-231-3 record.
LeClair died in 2006 at age 40.
