Biographical Information

Kei Hashimoto was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the eighth round of the 1997 NPB draft, but he suffered a severe back injury, and the Carp released him in 1999. He then pitched in the Montreal Expos system in 2001. In ten relief appearances for the Vermont Expos, he went 0-1 with a 6.46 ERA. He walked nine and struck out ten in 15 1/3 innings.
