Biographical Information[edit]
Kazuo Hayashi started the Japan Little League in 1964. He took his team to the 1967 Little League World Series title. He later formed the Chofu Little League, which won the 1976 Little League World Series. He was the first president of the Japan Little League Baseball Association (2005-2009), holding that role until he died. He was voted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015 in a class with catcher Atsuya Furuta and another organizer, Ryohei Murayama.
