Biographical Information[edit]

Kazuhiko Daimon pitched for eight years in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Daimon was a 4th-round pick of the Taiyo Whales in 1983 NPB draft. He was 4-8 with a 4.71 ERA and .303 opponent average as a rookie in 1986 then went 2-5 with a 3.70 ERA in 1987. Kazuhiko was 6-6 with a save and a 4.14 ERA in 1988. In 1989, he had a 8-13, 3.88 record with one save, tying Hisao Niura for the Central League lead in losses and also leading with 92 runs allowed.

The Kyoto native had a career year (8-5, 3.22) in 1990 and was 6-8 with a 3.49 ERA in 1991. A career .157 hitter, he had four hits in a game on May 29, 1991. He fell to 2-6, 4.02 with a save in 1992 and spent the next year in the minors. Moving to the Hanshin Tigers, he had a 0-1, 5.27 record in five games in 1994, his final year.

Overall, Daimon was 36-52 with 3 saves and a 3.86 ERA in 233 games (104 starts) in NPB.
