Biographical Information[edit]
Kay Rogers turned down an offer from the St. Louis Cardinals and tried out with the New York Yankees before enrolling at Wake Forest. He helped the school to second place in the 1949 College World Series. Wake Forest represented the US in the 1951 Pan American Games and he hit .304 while playing error-free ball as a CF/3B for the Silver Medal winners. He was a dentist for the US Air Force from 1960-1962 then had a dental practice from 1962-2006.
