Katy Park

From BR Bullpen

Katy Park, located in Waco, TX served as the home of minor league baseball for many years. Baylor University also played its home games at the park for a time. Katy Park was the first park in the Texas League to install lights, playing its first night game on June 20, 1930.

On May 11, 1953, a devastating tornado ruined the park and forced the Waco Pirates to move to Longview, TX to finish out the season, but the park was repaired in time for the start of the next season.

There was also a Katy Park in Chanute, KS from 1946-1953.
