Kasumi Noguchi played for Japan in the 2008 Women's Baseball World Cup, posting a 0.00 ERA while going 2-0 as they won their first Gold Medal in a Women's Baseball World Cup. She led in record and ERA and was named the tourney MVP. She was back with Japan for the 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup and played a role in the team's first loss, relieving Yukari Isozaki and allowing Australia's inherited runners to score.
