Biographical Information[edit]
Karl Meister played four games in the majors in 1913. From Marietta, OH, he also played four seasons in the minors.
Karl was born in Ohio in the same year that Roger Peckinpaugh and Wally Gerber were born there. When he came to the minors in 1912, he was the same age as teammate John Shovlin.
Meister made his major league debut in August 1913. He mostly played center field while with the 1913 Reds. Nobody got more than 57 games in center field that year for the Reds, with Josh Devore getting 57 and Armando Marsans appearing in 56.
