Kapellen Turtles

Based in Grevenbroich, North Rhine-Westphalia, the Kapellen Turtles were founded in 1988. They made the Bundesliga-1, Germany's highest league, in 1993. In 1994, they were 11-17-2, though Frank Stattler was 8-8 and had a 907 OPS. Without Stattler, they fell to 5-24-1 in 1995 and then dissolved due to financial issues. They later were reestablished but have not returned to Bundesliga-1 through 2021.
