Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Kala Ka'aihue played in the minor leagues from 2005 to 2012, peaking at AA. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 22nd round of the 2003 amateur draft coming out of high school in Hawai'i, but did not sign. After attending South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, AZ, he was signed by the Atlanta Braves as an undrafted free agent in 2005.

He is the brother of major leaguer Kila Ka'aihue and the son of Kala Ka'aihue Sr., who played in the minor leagues.
