Kai-Lun Chang pitched in the CPBL for 4 years.
Chang represented Taiwan in the 2014 U-21 Baseball World Cup, allowing seven hits and five runs in three innings; he lost to Japan's Toshiki Sakurai. He was drafted by the CTBC Brothers in the 4th round of the 2015 CPBL Draft, and he had a 20.25 ERA in 3 games in 2015. Chang’s ERA was 9.00 in 10 relief outings in 2016, and he struggled again in 2017. He recorded a 7.84 ERA in 12 games in 2018, and he didn’t get another appearance with the big club until the Brothers released him in 2020.
Chang’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 91.9 mph), forkball and curveball.
Overall, Chang was 0-2 with a 9.08 ERA, pitched 35 2/3 innings and struck out 19 in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
