Biographical Information[edit]

Jyun-Long Jhang pitched in the CPBL for 2 years.

Jhang represented Taiwan in the 2009 World Youth Championship, going 1-0 with a 5.19 ERA; he struck out 10 in a win over Australia's Darryl George. He tied Chih-Wei Hu for 7th in K (15) and was 3rd in IP (17 1/3, between Wing-Sing Li and Shintaro Fujinami). He was signed by the Fubon Guardians after going undrafted in 2018, and he had a 5.73 ERA in 11 games in that season. He struggled again as he recorded a 5.47 ERA in 29 relief outings in 2019, and his ERA was 6.58 in 33 games in the minors in 2020. The Guardians then released him, and his professional career ended.

Jhang’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 93.2 mph), forkball and slider.

Overall, Jhang was 1-0 with a 5.54 ERA, pitched 37 1/3 innings and struck out 37 in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
