Biographical Information[edit]

Justin Jacobs played college ball at Gonzaga University and earned a degree in sport management in 2017. After graduation he signed with the Texas Rangers as a free agent and played in the lower levels of their minor league system for two years. Jacobs appeared in 128 games with a batting line of .269/.370/.374.

Jacobs joined the coaching ranks for the 2019 season as an assistant coach at Spokane Falls Community College. He stayed just one year before returning to Gonzaga to work on a master's degree in organizational leadership. While at Gonzaga, Jacobs also worked with the baseball team as a graduate assistant coach. He then moved to the east coach and spent Fall 2020 as an assistant coach with the George Washington University Colonials.

The Rangers brought Jacobs into professional baseball coaching in 2021 as a coach with the ACL Rangers. He moved up to the Down East Wood Ducks to serve as a development coach in 2022 and was a coach for the Hickory Crawdads in 2023-2024.
