Biographical Information[edit]
Justin Haley was picked by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from the Boston Red Sox in the 2016 Rule V Draft. He was immediately sent to the San Diego Padres, who in turn flipped him to the Minnesota Twins in return for P Miguel Diaz, whom the Twins had selected with the first overall pick in the draft. These moves were all part of the Padres' successfully landing the first three players selected in the draft. For his part, Haley made the Twins' opening day roster an debuted on April 5th with one scoreless inning of relief against the Kansas City Royals. He pitched 10 times for the Twins, with no record but 1 save and an ERA of 6.00, then was returned to the Red Sox on July 24th.
