Biographical Information

Relief pitcher Justin Brantley was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Indians in 2014. He showed considerable promise in the early going, posting a 1.31 ERA with 47 strikeouts in 41 1/3 innings in 2014, and a 2.84 ERA in 39 games in 2015. It was then downhill, as his ERAs in the affiliated ranks were 7.47 and 5.15, respectively, in the succeeding seasons. He pitched in the New York Mets system in 2017 and played in independent ball from 2018 onward.

His cousin is Michael Brantley; his uncle is Mickey Brantley.
