Biographical Information

Pitcher Junior Garcia was signed by the Houston Astros before the 2015 season. The scouts were Oz Ocampo, Roman Ocumarez and Francis Mojica. He began his professional career that year with the GCL Astros, going 1-1, 2.45 in 13 games in relief. Before the year was over, on August 8th, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in return for major league reliever Oliver Pérez in a rare trade of a player who had not even completed his first year as a pro.
