Biographical Information[edit]

Jung-Tung Cheng played in the TML for 5 years.

Cheng represented Taiwan in the 1988 Haarlemse Honkbalweek. He was signed by the Taipei Gida when they were founded in 1996, and he hit .283/.356/.371 in 53 games in 1997. However, he slumped to .137/.196/.176 in 1998, then the Gida traded him to the Taichung Agan for Shi-Hsing Lo in the middle of the '98 season. Cheng hit .247/.304/.329 for the Agan in 1998, then his batting line fell to .205/.246/.265 in 1999. He then recorded a .249/.299/.276 batting line in 2000, and he announced his retirement after hitting .227/.222/.227 in 2001.

Overall, Cheng hit .233/.284/.288 with 174 hits in 5 seasons in the TML.
