Biographical Information

Julio Strauss was a reliever in the Cubs minor league system and the Venezuelan Winter League. Pitched in the minors from 1989 to 1993, and had a 17-22 record with a 2.91 ERA and 43 saves. He pitched in the Venezuelan Winter League for 11 seasons from 1984-85 to 1995-96. Had a 29-23 record, 3.37 ERA, 21 starts in 189 games, and 10 saves. Was named pitcher of the year in 1988-89, with a 8-1 record and 2.14 ERA in 13 games.
