Juan Diaz played one season in the minors, appearing for the 1962 Leon Diablos Verdes of the Mexican Center League. He hit .235/.307/.402 with 4 home runs, 20 runs and 20 RBI in 102 at-bats over 40 games. Atrocious on defense, he had 11 errors in 34 outfield games, his .820 fielding percentage ranking last among MCL flyhawks that year.
