Biographical Information[edit]

Joshua Rodrigues attended Bridgewater State University and earned a bachelor's degree in History and a master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology. After college Rodrigues taught high school for several years at Sandwich High School (2012-2016) and in the Dartmouth Public Schools from 2016-2019. Rodrigues did some baseball coaching during this time period, but sources are scarce in providing detail. He coached at Sandwich at least one year. Rodrigues also worked with college players at two venues. He was an assistant coach for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League in 2015-2016. In 2018 and early 2019 he served as an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

In early 2019 the Tampa Bay Rays hired Rodrigues as a replay administrator and then moved him to the Baseball Operations department in June. This employment only lasted through November. The following fall, Rodrigues went back to teaching, but this time at the elementary school level.

Rodrigues returned to professional baseball when the Baltimore Orioles hired him to serve as the Norfolk Tides development coach in 2022-2024.
