Infielder Josh Patton played a dozen years in the independent leagues, hitting .308 with 88 home runs, 624 RBI, and 75 stolen bases during his career. He hit .375/.452/.667 with 9 RBI in 9 games for Team USA in the 2003 Baseball World Cup, handling 23 chances error-free at third; only Bryan Warner had more RBI for the US. He did not win All-Star honors at third as those went to Michel Enríquez. After his playing days, he was a member of the Normal CornBelters coaching staff in 2010.
