Biographical Information[edit]
Jose Zardon was with the Washington Senators in 1945, appearing in 54 games and hitting .290.
His minor league career ran 12 seasons, including a number of years in Havana and a year in Mexico.
The 1947 Havana Cubans, in the Florida International League, went 105-45. Zardon in 1945-46 played for Cienfuegos, along with Sal Maglie, Dolf Luque, Martin Dihigo, Roland Gladu, Luis Tiant, Sr. and others. He was 3 for 18 in Cuba that winter, backing up Alejandro Crespo, Gladu and Pedro Pagés as Cienfuegos won its first title in 15 years.
