Biographical Information[edit]
José Pastrano has played in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team. His brother, also named José Pastrano, has also played pro ball. [1]
He hit .143/.333/.169 for the 2018 DSL Athletics, mostly playing second base. Primarily used as a corner outfielder the next year, he batted .190/.288/.256 for the same club, going 12-for-14 in steal attempts. The 2020 minor league season was canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic. Returning to action in 2021, he hit .220/.328/.300 for the DSL A's, fielding .917 at 2B.
Pastrano was then with Venezuela for the 2022 Bolivarian Games. [2]
