Biographical Information

José Acevedo pitched parts of five seasons in the major leagues, primarily for the Cincinnati Reds. He broke four ribs and his collarbone in a motorcycle accident on February 16, 2007, and never pitched in organized baseball again. He primarily wore number 29 and is a cousin of Hall of Fame pitcher Juan Marichal.
