Jorge Colón Delgado

Baseball and Horse Racing historian Jorge Colón Delgado has written five books on the topic of baseball in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and two about Horse Racing: Camarero en Punta (1998); La Maquinaria Perfecta Santurce Cangrejeros 1954-55 (2007); La Historia del Clásico del Caribe (2009); Pedrin Zorrilla, El Cangrejo Mayor (2011); 75 años de Béisbol Profesional Boricua (2014), Dream Team del Béisbol Profesional Boricua (2015) and Historia de los Indios de Mayaguez (2019). In 2019, he produced his first short film about horse racing in Puerto Rico titled Metamorfosis.

At the present he is the Official Historian of the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League and General Coordinator of the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball Hall of Fame. In 2008, he was elected to the Santurce Sports Hall of Fame and in 2016, to the Rio Piedras Sports Hall of Fame. He is also President of the Puerto Rico Horse Racing Hall of Fame.
