Biographical Information[edit]
Jorge Arrieta was on the Venezuelan national team that won the 1944 Amateur World Series. When the Venezuelan League formed in 1946, he was 3-4 with a 5.04 ERA for the championship-winning Cervecería Caracas. He fell to 0-2, 7.71 in the 1946-1947 season. Moving to the Patriotas de Venezuela for 1947-1948, he was 1-4 with a 6.90 ERA. He resurfaced for 1950-1951, posting a 0-3, 5.34 record for the Patriotas to finish his LVBP career at 4-13, 6.01 in 45 games (21 starts). He had hit .295/?/.477, though.
