Biographical Information[edit]

Collegiate[edit]

Jonathan Ross played outfield and first base for the Savannah State University Tigers during four seasons.

In Ross's freshman year of 2006, he hit .250 appearing in only 5 games with 2 hits. In 2007, playing in 51 games, Jonathan improved with a .368 batting average driving in 26 runs with 9 doubles, 2 homers, and 13 stolen bases. In the 2009 season, Jonathan hit.380 with 12 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs and stole 13 bases.

In the summer of 2009, Ross played for the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. He hit .264 with 6 doubles, 1 triple, 6 home runs and 27 RBIs. He stole 6 bases. He was selected to play in the NYCBL All-Star Game.

During the 2010 season with the Tigers, Jonathan hit .416 with 13 doubles, 5 triples, and 11 homers. He also stole 20 bases. In the summer of 2010, Jonathan played for the Macon Pinetoppers of the Peach State League. As an outfielder/first baseman, he appeared in 10 games and batted .276 with 1 double, 1 home run, and 2 stolen bases.

Normal CornBelters (Frontier League)[edit]

Ross was signed by the Normal CornBelters on July 19, 2010.

Jonathan got his first start for the CornBelters on July 21 against the Gateway Grizzlies. He went 1 for 3. In 33 games for the CornBelters in the 2010 season, Ross finished with a .309 average with 8 RBIs and 1 home run.
