Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Jonathan Aro was signed by the Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic on June 6, 2011. He reached the major leagues with the Red Sox on June 25, 2015 and went 0-1, 6,97 in 6 appearances as a relief pitcher on the year. On December 7th, he was traded to the Seattle Mariners along with Wade Miley in return for pitchers Roenis Elias and Carson Smith, and made one unblemished appearance in an M's uniform the ensuing summer. On April 24, 2017, he was issued a fifty-game suspension for an unspecified violation of baseball's drug treatment and enforcement program. He has not returned to the majors since.
