John Schiffner

John Schiffner is a College Baseball coach. He was the head coach at Plainfield High School in Connecticut for 33 years and is now currently an assistant coach at the University of Maine. From 1983-1988 he was a Scout for the Montreal Expos. He is most notable for his 25 years as manager of the Chatham A's / Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He led Chatham to two league championships and 16 playoff appearances. His 541 regular season wins makes him the winningest manager in CCBL history. During his time at Chatham he managed 120 plus future major leaguers and 26 first round draft choices. Schiffner played college baseball at Providence College.
