Biographical Information[edit]
John Kovalik pitched in the independent leagues from 2014-2017.
Kovalik was pitching coach at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, his alma mater, from 2017-2018 before being hired hired by the Houston Astros. He was pitching coach for the Tri-City Valley Cats in 2019, FCL Astros in 2021, Fayetteville Woodpeckers in 2022, and Corpus Christi Hooks in 2023.
Kovalick moved to the Chicago White Sox' chain as pitching coach of the Winston-Salem Dash in 2024.
