John Jancuska

John Jancuska has coached college baseball for over 30 years.

Jancuska was hired as head coach of University of Maryland, Baltimore County in August of 1977. John led the school to NCAA Division II regional tournaments three times in nine years, winning 172 games, before the school moved up to NCAA Division I.

John was named East Coast Conference Coach of the Year in 1992 when UMBC made the Division I Tournament for the first time. He was named Big South Conference Coach of the Year in 1993 and Northeast Conference Coach of the Year in 2000, when the school won the conference title. In 2001, Jancuska again took UMBC to the NCAA Tournament.

Jancuska won 673 games as a head coach. He helped develop Jay Witasick and Wayne Franklin. He retired in June 2011 and was replaced by Bob Mumma.
