Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher John Glass was taken by the Montreal Expos from the New York Mets in the 1969 expansion draft with the final pick. He never played in the majors.
After two seasons in the Expos system, he returned to the Mets and had his two best years: in 1971, he went 13-6, 2.85 for the Memphis Blues of the Dixie Association and in 1973 he was 12-9, 2.85 for the Tidewater Tides. However, the Mets had a lot of good young pitchers coming up through their system at the time, and he never got a chance to show his stuff in the majors. He was released after starting the 1974 season 0-5, 6.67 with Tideater.
