Biographical Information[edit]
John Fluhrer played six games in the major leagues, going 2-for-6 with a walk and a stolen base.
He was at the University of Pennsylvania in 1914-15 and played on the freshman baseball team. He made his major league debut in September 1915. In 1916-17 he played in the minors.
The book Baseball in Toledo has a photo of him as part of the 1917 Toledo Iron Men team. Fluhrer was managed there by Roger Bresnahan, a Toledo native who had previously been his manager with the 1915 Cubs.
