Biographical Information[edit]
John Fitzgerald is a college coach.
Fitzgerald was 12-8 as a pitcher at the University of Chicago.
He was an assistant coach at the University of Chicago (1999), St. Ignatius High School (2000) and University High School (2003).
He became head coach at Illinois Institute of Technology after 2003 and held the job for three years and also was assistant athletic director there. He then spent a year as an assistant coach at the University of Notre Dame. From 2007 to 2014, he was head coach at North Central College. In 2015 Fitzgerald returned to University of Chicago as head coach. After the 2021 season Fitzgerald moved to Lewis University as Associate Director of Athletics for External Relations.
