Biographical Information[edit]
John Brown pitched a single game in the majors, for the Brooklyn Bridegrooms on August 11, 1897. He was a stone cutter from Philly and lived most of his life in the city. His whereabouts in later life were unknown for a long time, but information uncovered in 2006 confirmed he died in his hometown and was buried in Philadelphia's Old Cathedral Cemetery.
