Biographical Information[edit]

John Alusik was a minor league infielder.

Alusik hit .218/ /.296 for the 1942 Wilson Tobs while fielding .909 as their main shortstop. He served in France and Germany during World War II as a seargant in the field artillery. Returning to Wilson in '46, he hit .269 and slugged .353 but fielded only .878, now at second base. He then went on to college and became a science teacher for 24 years. He then became a professor at St. Peter's College for the next 26 years. He also won batting titles in the Union County League and coached youth baseball.

His brother George Alusik played in the majors and brothers Steve Alusik and Joe Alusik played in the minors.
