Biographical information[edit]

John Albertson is a former minor league baseball player who played in the Atlanta Braves farm system from 1987 to 1988. Originally drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 1985, he had to wait until the 1987 amateur draft to be chosen again. This time he was chosen by the Braves in the 29th round.

Playing for both the Pulaski Braves (.191/~.321/.250) and Durham Bulls (0 for 1) in 1987, Albertson hit a combined .188 in 69 at-bats. The following year, playing for the Idaho Falls Braves, Albertson hit .229/.330/.337 in 83 at-bats and fielded .966 at catcher. 1988 would end up being the final year of Albertson's career.

Overall, he hit .211 with 2 home runs and 32 RBI in 152 at-bats.
