Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Tuquero was a regular with the Guam national team.
Tuquero was with Guam when they won Gold in the 1999 South Pacific Games. [1] He was an infielder for them as they won the 1999 Oceania Championship. [2] He hit .333 with six runs and two RBI when Guam won Gold in the 2003 South Pacific Games. [3] He was 1 for 15 and fielded .842 in the 2003 Oceania Championship. [4]
In the 2011 Pacific Games, he split third with Chad Palomo. Entering the Gold Medal Game, he was 1 for 8 with a walk, his hit coming off Louis Solaita. He fielded .727. [5] He still hit 5th in the Gold Medal Game and came up big, going 2-for-3 with two walks and a RBI while handling five chances error-free but it was not enough in his team's 8-4 loss. [6]
