Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Puskaric worked one game as a National League umpire on May 22, 1976. The game was played at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA and the ballpark vendors were on strike that day. The regular umpires, along with other stadium personnel, refused to cross the picket line that day, forcing the league to use replcement umpires. Puskaric worked first base, alongside Joe Schratz, Clarence Adams and Al Cohen. It turned out to be a sixteen-inning contest.
