Biographical Information[edit]

In 1989, Joe Pittman played for the Winter Haven Super Sox of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. He hit .337 with 38 RBI in 69 games for the club. Pittman also led the league with most games played at second base with 67. In 1990, he played for the St. Petersburg Pelicans of the SPBA. He played in 21 games and batted .258 with 11 RBI before the league folded.

Pittman was a coach for the Quad City River Bandits in 1996 and scouted for the Houston Astros after retirement. He died in June 2014 at the age of 61.
